So -

We FINALLY downed Garrosh in Flex Mode - Kudos to all who helped participate in that kill.  Going forward we will CONTINUE to be running flex mode every week.  Just because we've downed it once doesn't mean it's on farm status yet.  Let's continue to work on improving that fight to be a one-shot like every other boss in that instance is.

We plan to begin working on 10 man Normal mode SoO when flex isn't an option and the unfortunate reality is that we have more players than slots available for that difficulty setting.  As much as we'd like to be able to bring everyone (WHICH WILL BE AN OPTION IN WoD) we just can't at the present time.  Raid Spots will be decided by the officer crew based on several criteria outlined below:

  • Role Balance (Tanks, Healers, DPS)

  • Commitment to the raid team (members who have been consistent raiders will be given priority)

  • Ability to perform your role (high skill players will be weighted accordingly)

  • Taking progression content seriously (players who constantly screw off, aren't prepared at raid time, don't show up with food/flasks/whatnots will most likely be sidelined (if you think I'm talking about you with this bullet point - I probably am))

  • Rotation - with all things being equal if you've been sat previously and all of the above doesn't apply to you then we WILL rotate players in.  Keep in mind that if you can top the dps charts but can't follow instructions, that doesn't mean that all things are equal.

Honestly, all of the above is just common sense. We're a raiding guild, we have more than 10 players for a 10 player mode, we have to choose 10 people to go, we want to be fair yet still have a chance at success.  I think you get the picture.

Once again, congratulations to EA on completing Mists of Pandaria.  I'm really looking forward to what's up next...
